Kingston, Catskill, NY

Found a delightful creek in Kingston, NY to anchor.  Never got into town as it started to rain in the morning.  Lots of 'river craft' marinas (small) and a huge tugboat repair facility.  A family of ducks (mother + seven) were dining off the bottom of our boat.  First time we've ever seen that.  Maybe the fresh water has killed all the barnacles.DSC02253

This time we made sure the trains were up high!

It has rained all of yesterday and is still coming down today (Thursday).  We  left Rondout Creek before dark last night on the advice of a dockmaster who said the creek gets pretty violent during heavy rain.  All the water comes down the mountains and flows out the creek to the Hudson.  We anchored in the river out of the channel.DSC02270
