Having done the whole NYC thing a few times previously, we didn't go into Manhattan. We substituted Hoboken instead! From what I remember growing up in NJ, Hoboken was the pits! Over the past 15-20 years it has undergone a transformation not unlike Canton/Fells Point in Baltimore. A very pleasant town. Plus, the view across the river is spectacular! We actually took the dinghy 3 mi up the Hudson from the marina to Hoboken...seemed like the fastest way. Photo: Hoboken corner
We left Liberty Landing Marina Sunday morning and saw more of Manhattan from the vantage point of the river. A very strange sight was this golf driving range. I guess when space is limited...

(From whence the saying "going up the river" came from)
We ended the day anchored off Croton-on-Hudson. Pam's cousin Barbara and her husband Dan drove over from Chappaqua, NY to join us on the boat for dinner. It was great seeing them again.

We were somewhere down there!
